First visit to Laine’s Papeterie

I have heard from word of mouth that Laine’s Papeterie at Wheelock Place is by far the best place in Singapore to shop for scrapbooking materials. So earlier today, I headed to the place after having lunch at ION Orchard’s Swensens with my Mummy Dearest.

My first thought of the shop was, “They have the same stuff as those other scrapbooking shops at Plaza Singapura.” Made With Love is admittedly much spacier than this one. But it was only after I went to check out my items did I realised why people claim that it’s the best place in Singapore — it’s affordable!

Yup! Those were what I got for myself at Laine’s. They’re currently having a special Christmas offer — 10 patterned papers for $10. That’s as good as it gets. Usually, one paper cost at least $1.30. It’s only after I got back home to review my purchases did I regret not getting any embellishments like trinkets and such. *sighs*

So apparently, after my Mum accompanied me all the way to Orchard, she dragged me over to Joo Chiat Complex at Geylang to shop for ‘her’ stuff. There I found 2 handcraft shops that sell lots of paper doilies and ribbons. So well, the trip was worth it!
